From the very first time I played a PC game on my parents' Windows 95 desktop, I have been enraptured by the stories that games tell. I have pursued this passion both academically and professionally (and created an award-winning indie game in the process) because storytelling in games is not just an afterthought—it's the foundation for immersive and impactful play.

 

I have 8 years of experience as a professional writer, with 5 of those years specialized in game and narrative design. I also have an MFA in Games and Interactive Media from American University and a BA in English from U.C. Berkeley where I was a Regents and Chancellor's Scholar.
